Abstract
Teotihuacan fue, hoy podemos afirmarlo, el eje de la dinámica política del horizonte Clásico, en el centro de México. Con las recientes excavaciones extensivas en Teopancazco y Xalla dentro de mi proyecto Teotihuacan: élite y gobierno, hemos obtenido una serie de fechamientos arqueomagnéticos y radiocarbónicos que nos esclarecen la cronología de los diversos eventos que tuvieron lugar a la caída de la urbe (Manzanilla, en prensa).
